Wrongitude

Being an anal-retentive jerk, I really like pointing out the mistakes of others. For instance: today's FT has a story about scientists cracking the genetic code for three disease inducing parasites. Accompanying the story (in the print editon--not online) is a picture of the Assassin Beetle, otherwise known as the Kissing Bug, which carries the organism that causes Chagas (one of the parasites mentioned in the article). The caption, however, says that the beetle itself is the parasite whose DNA was deciphered. Not so, intrepid reader. The article doesn't make that mistake, though.

Better yet, though, is that how the Pitchfork review of the new Son Volt record namechecks Gil Scott-Heron, but forgets that there was life before Prefuse, and spells it "Scott-Herren."

Is it possible that I wrote all of this because I didn't have anything else to say this morning? Mayhap I did, mayhap I didn't.

Maybe I just don't want to talk about last night...
