Pop quiz, hotshot (Updated)

Hey, real quick: Tonight is the return of Dick Swizzle's Live Action Trivia! at Magnetic Field, which is fun enough in and of itself, but tonight is extra special since yours truly wrote the questions for the "Junk Food" and "So You Call Yourself a 'Geek'?" rounds.

Come out and see if you know as much as I do about snackcakes, video games, or the history of computer science.

"Snackcake" is one of the best words ever. Snack cake. Snackcake.

Update: You know what's more surprising than the fact that a bunch of people know who Cthulhu is? The fact that some of them can spell "Cthulhu." Mad props, spelling bees.

Also, yay to everyone who guessed (wrongly) that Charles Babbage's theoretical device that could perform any arithmetical operation was the Difference Engine. Even though that's the wrong answer, Babbage did invent the Difference Engine, and even went so far as to build one. However, as the name suggests, that device could only subtract. The answer, for those of you playing the home game, is the Analytical Engine... the Analytical Engine.

Lastly, contrary to what one girl loudly exclaimed, the sequel to Metal Gear for the Japan-only MSX computer gaming system is Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake, and NOT "You will never ever get laid." So close.
